Providenciales

Providenciales, affectionately known as "Provo" by the locals, is the most developed island in the Turks and Caicos. Surrounded by pristine white sand beaches and shimmering, crystal waters, Conde Nast Traveller Magazine ranked it as the ‘Best Beach of all Tropical Islands in the World'.

Provo offers all the modern conveniences one could desire while remaining a top vacation destination for those who wish to escape from stress and overpopulated cities. The island offers an array of activities day and night including an 18 hole golf course, a casino, shopping centres, three marinas, a growing number of bars and excellent restaurants. Provo is also a divers' and water lovers' paradise offering year round gorgeous weather and water temperatures along with the opportunity to explore the third largest reef system in the world. During the summer, sea water temperatures stay close to 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Warm weather brings more underwater sightings of manta rays and other aquatic life. In the winter, the waters are a little cooler, staying in the mid to high 70s.

The island is served by an airport (capable of handling wide-body jets), and is just a short trip from the East Coast of America. Just over 1 hour from Miami and 2.5 hours from New York make Providenciales one of the easiest and shortest trips to the Caribbean.
